The Detroit Tigers vs The Minnesota Twins
I was in attendance at the Detroit Tiger vs Chicago White Sox baseball game today. It was game number 162, which is the last game of the season. The Detroit Tigers had to win because they are tied for first place with the Minnesota Twins. The Detroit Tigers have been in first place since May, they have not played well lately and Minnesota has made up 7 games in recent weeks to tie the Detroit Tigers. The reason I chose to write about this is it’s in line with man other topics I have wrote about. The Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins both believe in themselves, they both expect to win, they have departed from the masses, they made the decision to take part in the Playoffs and they have taken action to make the Playoffs. The problem is only one of them can go to the Playoffs, therefore the Detroit Tigers vs the Minnesota Twins will take place on October 6, 2009 for an opportunity to play the New York Yankees in the Playoffs.
Tuesday’s winner will play Game 1 of the AL Division Series either Wednesday or Thursday at Yankee Stadium, and the Red Sox will be at the Angels in the other ALCS. The NL Division Series are all set, with Rockies at Phillies and Cardinals at Dodgers, both on Wednesday. The tiebreaker will be in Minnesota because the Twins won the season series between the clubs. That is especially worth noting, because in the past it would have been a coin flip that decided where this game would be played. The rules were changed this year, so head-to-head decided it. In other words, it came down to what happened on the field instead of the pure chance of a coin falling on either side. Detroit is trying desperately to avoid the ignominy of becoming the first team in history to be in first place on May 10 or earlier and remain on top until losing the title in the final week of the season.
There are 30 teams in Major League Baseball and 8 teams will go the Playoffs to play of the Championship. So, when I state departing for the masses, in this case I’m talking about the top 27% of the league will move forward into the Playoffs. As an entrepreneur, I look to attract people who would like to depart from the masses by making a decision and taking action. What does that mean? Most people go to work everyday to collect a paycheck, it doesn’t matter if they are happy or not, they are mainly concerned about paying there bills. If you are the type of person that wants to depart from the masses as the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins as well as the other 7 teams have done from the rest of the league. You will need to look in the mirror and ask yourself do you really want to be happy and are you on the path to happiness doing what you are doing right now. Can you honestly answer that question?
To depart from the masses, you have to make the decision that you will not be like the majority of people, be at the effect of the negative economy and continue to settle for what you are experiencing at this moment. Do you want prosperity in your life? Make the decision that you want financial abundance, then take action to achieve what you want in life. You can be your own person, gain self confidence and independence and confidently move forward and go your own way and be at cause in your life instead of being at the effect of the things that are going on around you.
