Pay attention to the people who you are surrounded by, you want people who are going somewhere in life. These people know who they are, they know what want and they know what steps to take to continue to flourish. Most people don’t have any idea what they want, why is that the case? It goes back to that conditioning we discussed earlier. The past is the past, leave it their, don’t let it cloud your future. The people you surround yourself with, play the game to win, therefore what ever lengths it takes to flourish are the steps you take to win.

To be on a mission to flourish we have to create future possibilities. Most people spend 90% of their energy sustaining mediocrity and 10% of the energy thinking about future possibilities. Create a mindset that is strong, positive, creative, visual and inspiring. Speaking of possibilities, new habits will occur when you are on a mission to flourish. Future possibilities are created based on our desire to achieve our goals. It really comes down to identifying our why, you have to know what you want to achieve, there also has to be a reason why you want what you say you want. When people are motivated and recognize what they want, then being on a mission to flourish is possible. Would you like to leave Corporate America? Have you thought about what it would take for you to leave Corporate America? We will provide some information to assist you with what it takes to fire your boss. We will also discuss the benefits of being a stay at home dad. As a matter of fact, my nine year old daughter was in a 8 week camp this summer, we had to take her out of camp for two weeks due to time in Hawaii for 10 days. Summer camp came to conclusion at the end of last week. School doesn’t start until after Labor Day, in previous years with her mom and dad working, we had to find other camps or take vacation to keep her busy. Now that I have fired my boss, I am home each day to get her off to school, camp or whatever activity she is involved in.

Once again, would you like to leave Corporate America? There are plenty of benefits to being a big part of your child’s life, I am able to be there on school days when she leaves and arrives home. I was able to put her on the camp bus throughout the summer this year and be home when she got home. We have spent a lot of time together biking, boating, traveling, talking, swimming, playing golf, you name it we’ve enjoyed the summer together. I know that when she is older, she will look back on these days and say it was nice that my dad was there for me as I was growing up. Personally, I know that I did not have that luxury as I grew up.

In order to fire your boss and escape the rat race, your WHY has to be big enough. That means you have to have a reason that is so important to you that nothing will stop you from achieving your goal. When you emotionally get yourself clear on what you want, you will think of it often, you have heard the saying “thoughts become things, choose the right ones.” That’s very important, you have to change your way of thinking. Start with the end in mind, think about what you want. Keep the main thing in the forefront of your thoughts. When I started my business 21/2 years ago, one of the first things I did was wrote down a goal to fire my boss and escape he rat race. I gave myself 15 months to achieve the goal. I did not know that it would take only 12 months, obviously I was fortunate to make the type of money that made me forget about the six figure salary, bonuses, 401K, company car etc.

People are people, we all have a different lives, although we have the same opportunity to achieve our dreams. It takes a simple choice, a proven business system and a take action attitude. Think about an amusement park, there are all kind of rides, some big and fast others for those individuals that are afraid of the big rides. That is how you should look at business, some people have experienced success in the different businesses. Y.E. Yang of South Korea, the first Asian player to win a major title. Y.E. Yang beat Tiger Woods by 3 strokes at the PGA Championship on Sunday, August 16, 2009. Tiger Woods’ had been unbeaten with a lead entering the last round of major championships finally until that ended Sunday at wind-blown Hazeltine National Golf Club. Prior to Sunday, Woods was 14-0 when leading after 54 holes.

You may be asking why am I writing about golf on a blog that is about Personal Development, Home Business and Living a certain Lifestyle. I am a golfer myself, I believe that playing golf and being an entrepreneur have many similarities. To be successful in my business, one has to believe in themselves, be patient, visualize the expected outcome and recognize that no matter what, there is no time to get attached to any potential customer or associate. In golf, Y.E. Yang did the unthinkable and beat Tiger Woods because he believed in himself, he was patient throughout the four straight rounds of golf, he stated that “I’ve sort of visualized this quite a few times playing against the best player, if not one of the best players in the history of golf, playing with him in the final round in a major championship, always sort of dreamed about this. I’ve seen throughout Tiger’s career that a lot of players have folded probably on the last day when playing with him.” Yang had an eagle on the 13th hole, which was the turning point of the round, he did not get attached to that shot, he played to win and did just that.

Those of you who follow sports know that it is bound to happen, someone will beat the best on a given day. Tiger Woods will continue to be the #1 golfer in the world because he is the most consistent golfer. His belief is stronger than any other golfer in the world. Tiger has won 70 golf tournaments worldwide with 14 major tournament wins. He is third all-time in wins and second with major tournament wins, which is why we were so surprised he lost on Sunday after going into the round with a 2 stroke lead. Tiger will be back to his winning ways. Yang admitted “so was I intimidated, yeah, I guess I was a bit.”

You should live your own life and live up to your own expectations, and those are the only things I really care about it,” stated by Tiger Woods. Live your own life, you have control, your thoughts will become things. I played sports for years, including at Northwestern University in the Big Ten. Football was something I enjoyed playing. I realize years later, that love of the game should carry into life. I watched Beyond The Secret (DVD) recently, 48 hours later I watched it again. The movie has that affect on me, I recommended Beyond The Secret to my business partners as someone who believes in personal development, this movie will have a impact on you. I am looking forward to watching it again, as there are so many takeaways depending on where you are in your life currently.

As in The Secret, Bob Proctor is phenomenal led the way with a different group of visionaries in Beyond The Secret. Bob Proctor stated that “The Law of Attraction is always working” he also stated that The Law of Attraction is a secondary law, the law of vibration is the primary law. Your vibration dictates what you’re going to attract. In order for us to expect to experience the Law of Attraction, we have to understand the Law of Attraction. You will have more clarity after you watch the movie.

What do you really want? In order for you to get what you want, you really have to be clear, be specific and emotionally attached to what you want. The emotional part is the area that most people don’t to understand. When people fail to get what they want, they lose their belief in the Law of Attraction. An area that is very important in one getting what he/she wants, is to write it out. Be clear when you write out what you want, rather it’s a three month plan, six month or longer. Be emotional when writing, be clear and specific, which will improve your chances of getting what you want.

Les Brown is a prime example of someone enjoying what he does for a living. Les Brown discussed the importance of not letting the everyday challenges control you. People tend to let their dreams die because of lack of patience. Les Brown stated that “people allow their dreams to die inside of them because they aren’t patient, don’t trust and don’t believe.” He went on to say that “belief + trust = patience. We make mistakes in life and Les Brown stated “don’t give power to mistakes made in the past, they’re behind you.” You have paid for those mistakes, let them go, there is no need to pay for the mistakes twice. Les Brown is famous for assisting people to realize they have greatness inside of them.

I was not familiar with Mary Morrissey before I watched Beyond The Secret, she made an impact on me with comments about building a dream. Mary Morrissey discussed the importance of taking baby steps toward your dream, which allows for one to move forward. Have a clear idea of your dreams and take steps everyday toward your dreams. Mary states that with the Law of Attraction, take steps in teh direction of the dreams. Mary shared a story in Beyond The Secret, she conveyed that a single mom who want to buy a home that was our of her price. Stated to the woman that she should “think as if you don’t think it was impossible.” She made a statement to “stay in the question.” It’s very important to take action, you get to choose how you live your life.
